Where we explore and inhabit the aliveness within the body
WELCOME TO SOMA VIVA
“The proof of success or failure is her insights, she said, not the plot of her life.”
The Soma Viva Approach
At SOMA VIVA aim here is to share with you tools so you are capable of becoming a strong and independent practitioner, accessing the body’s wisdom to become free.
At SOMA VIVA we believe the body is the true teacher. Yoga is an invitation to fully inhabit and cherish the experience of having a body—exploring movement, breath, and conscious awareness. This practice offers you a safe and nurturing space to come home to yourself, fostering connection, vitality, and a sense of wholeness.
ABOUT SOFÍA
This practice is about the experience of having a body and creating a relationship with it, making the space to come back to it, to yourself.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve practiced before, or how strong or flexible you are, what matters is the contact with the sensations that arise during the experience. The greatest achievement will be the gratitude of having embodied yourself.
The real teacher is -the body-. Yoga is about allowing ourselves to inhabit and enjoy the chance of having a body, making ourselves aware of it, through movement, through breathing and conscious feeling. The kindness of this practice will gift you a home in your body, a safe space to treasure. A natural state of health requires constant novelty, like water running through the river, feeling new spaces and discovering new movements oblivious to us.
Yoga is a living being, an art, a creative energy forever transforming us along the way, this is why your practice will be only yours, impossible to compare or measure.
Feel safe in your body to experience the practice even if you have never done it before, or you have a special condition. This is about taking a moment to pause and observe, to listen to the needs and limits you require today and allow yoga to become a platform for wellbeing.
Keeping a present mind is hard, but your body is ever-present, you can always rest on that truth. It’s not just about challenges, but connection. Realizing that maybe you need to do much less, instead of more.
My aim here is to share with you tools so you are capable of becoming a strong and independent practitioner, accessing the body’s wisdom to become free.

YOGA SERIES
Somatic yoga emphasizes embodied awareness, sensory perception, and mindful movement. Instead of focusing on external poses, it explores internal sensations to release tension, reduce stress, improve mobility, and enhance vitality. This series offers variations for all levels, making it accessible and rewarding for beginners and advanced practitioners alike.
Offered in Spanish, our Prenatal Yoga supports your journey through pregnancy by promoting relaxation, strength, and flexibility. This series includes a gentle ball and chair session to enhance stability and ease, a restorative candlelight practice for deep relaxation and connection, and a flexibility and strength-focused episode. Together, these sessions provide a supportive and adaptable way to stay active, connected and centered throughout pregnancy.
This yoga series includes both somatic practice (offered in English) and a prenatal practice with two pranayamas (offered in Spanish) to support relaxation, strength, and embodied awareness. By emphasizing internal sensations and mindful movement, both series offer a nurturing and adaptable way to stay active and connected.
